German History

This drizzly, wet, and grey weekend was perfect for Oma Josephine and Johanna to go shopping. Shawn had to drive them as I was planning to take Opa to the memorial site of the contentration camp in Dachau. Johanna is still a little to young but we took Mara in the stroller. She didn't like it too much as we were stopping to many times. Riding the stroller is more fun when it moves for her. The site is very impressive and we happend to join the wrong guided tour (we had only signed up for a 30 min introductory) which turned out to be very interesting and informative. But more than one hour gets to you and when the rain started we decided to head home. Sunday we had hoped for better weather even though Graf and I were going to put the new light fixture up, which took much more time than expected. And we didn't even finish it yesterday! But it didn't really stop raining and instead of a day trip we settled on visiting Bad Tölz for a quick walk through the town and lunch and ice-cream on the way back.
