The Adams-Wedekind tradition: Cake in bed (still a little tired); and lots of presents for our "little" girl who turned six today. The weather was also celebrating her special day - no clouds and lots of sun with 15° C. Her favorite gift was the talking doll from Oma Röschen, a CD-player, fins with mask to go snorkeling. She also wished to get her ears pierced. When I picked her up this afternoon we went to Opa Grafton's favorite little jeweler in town. She picked out a pair of earrings and braved without a cry. Our flight bookings this weekend ended lucky, the ones I reserved and forgot to cancel could not be booked because they got my credit card wrong. They would have sucked as they were through NY without a connecting flight to DC.
