Where is home?
We took the train to Rösrath last weekend. I am not sure that was such a great idea. Maybe next time we reserve a plane ticket in time? Total travel time was about 7 hours. Grrr. We then lost Shawn in the main train station in Cologne when he tried to get S-bahn tickets but got stuck behind a very slow person. So the kids and I were already on the train with all the luggage. Shawn had to follow with the next one. But what a weird feeling to be back on top of the hill in Hoffnungsthal. Watch the old house but not go inside. Johanna kept staring at the window of her old room. Strange. Not that we don't like to live down south. However it was still odd to be there. Still we enjoyed to see all the old neighbors, especially Johanna was looking forward to meet Jana and Finn. They even slept outside in the tent after hours of fighting their nerves and fear and excitement. Sunday we had to go and eat at our favourite turkish restaurant. 6 adults and 6 kids, what a mess. Just to take the train back for another 7 hour ride back to Holzkirchen. Mara was good, fell asleep at 7 and did not wake up even when we put her in the car and later into her crib.
Today is Shawn's birthday, not sure what the plans are.
