Happy Birthday Mara

Mara celebrated her second birthday on Thanksgiving day. For us no holiday so that we had to rush eating the muffins in bed and opening presents before leaving on time for school and kindergarten. Still she enjoyed being in the middle of attention and tried hard to show her age with her fingers. Holding up two fingers is still a challenge at age two. Thank you all for sending birthday cards and all those lovely gifts. Her old nanny stopped by in the evening and Mara is still very much attached to her and her family. Especially her 12 year old son loves Mara and Mara adores him. Very cute. That night I also managed to play tennis with a co-worker. Not that I wasn't busy enough this week but in the end the sport relaxes me. But now it is time for a big Thanksgiving weekend. Yay. Shawn is already preparing the turkey.
