Happy Holidays and a great 2009!

We are back home from our ski trip in Austria. It was really nice and even though the traffic on the holiday weekend was awful. It took us five hours to get down to Heiligenblut for not even 250 km. But we were rewarded with lots of snow. Before we came it had snowed about 2 metres and the warm weather over Christmas could not do any harm. Shawn and I split a ski pass and that way I got to ski in the mornings with Jo and Shawn in the afternoon. It took me a little time to get into it again. Especially after the first day was really windy and foggy. But the weather changed quickly and we were spoiled with sun. Only Mara could not enjoy it at all. She suffered from high fever for 3 days and all we could do is hold her all day to comfort her. The fever medicine got her back to normal for a couple of hours but when it wore off she was miserable again. Thankfully she is much better now. Ready for New Year's Eve.
